About Me

Why Trout Towers? I married into a recording studio called Sonic Trout. Trout Towers is where it all happens.

I received the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod’s 2018 writing fellowship, and am currently working on a novel. My collection of essays, How Not to Do Things, came out in 2017 from Surface Popper Publications.

I’ve written for the Christian Science Monitor, the Provincetown Banner, the Barnstable Patriot, The Magazine of Yoga, MamaPop, Bachtrack, and of course Trout Towers. Opera Betty, my opera show for people who hate opera, airs on WOMR the second Sunday of each month.

Recently I’ve been on the other side of interviews (which is weird), and was profiled in ptownie and the Provincetown Banner.

I’ve been very lucky to write for businesses and organizations including the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater,  Left Bank Gallery, Wellfleet Beachcomber, Cape Cod Symphony,  and Cape Cod Technology Council.

Polite Fictions was my 15 minutes of hanging with the cool kids. These samples were in response to writing prompts, which we passed from writer to writer like a hot potato:
